Job Summary:
The Commercial Real Estate Appraisal Department is seeking to add a full-time Senior Appraiser to support the real property collateral valuation process at Webster Bank. The Commercial Appraisal Department is responsible for ensuring safe and prudent lending practices. The Senior Appraiser is responsible for supporting the Appraisal Department by analyzing and resolving complex appraisal issues, documenting results and assisting the Commercial Real Estate Appraisal Manager and department staff as needed. The position may require some minimal travel.
Responsibilities:
Solicit bids for appraisal/valuation services as needed
Engage fee appraisers to complete appraisal/valuation assignments as needed
Independently review real estate appraisal/valuation reports in a timely manner; prepare Standard 3 review or compliance review as appropriate
Ensure appraisals are reasonable, supported, credible and prepared in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements as well as professional appraisal standards
Ensure appraisals are prepared in conformance with Webster’s commercial real estate appraisal policies and procedures
Assist with internal and external audits as requested by Commercial Real Estate Appraisal Manager
Assist with ad hoc projects or analyses as requested by Commercial Real Estate Appraisal Manager
Continually expand knowledge of current topics, trends, and developments in commercial real estate valuation by attendance at industry events, seminars, etc.
Act as a resource for third-party appraisal vendors and appraisal management companies
Engage in regular communication with and serve as an advisor to Webster colleagues on appraisal and real estate valuation matters.
Maintain appropriate licensing through continuing education or further development through appropriate qualifying education.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – PART-TIME, WORK FROM HOME POSITION
Position Overview
The Executive Director serves as the chief administrative and operational officer of the Long Island Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, a not-for-profit organization of Real Estate Appraisers. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director manages the Chapter's daily operations, financial administration, educational programming, membership services, communications, events, and governance activities while supporting the Chapter's mission and strategic objectives.
Position Scope
The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the Chapter and the successful execution of its programs, services, and strategic initiatives. The position requires strong organizational, financial, communication, and leadership skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively with Chapter leadership, members, volunteers, and the Appraisal Institute National Office. An independent contractor (1099) position.
Key Responsibilities
· Comply with National Minimum Chapter Criteria and meet required deadlines.
· Manage day-to-day Chapter operations, records, administrative functions, and organizational resources.
· Support the Board of Directors, officers, committees, and volunteers in implementing Chapter initiatives and strategic goals.
· Oversee financial administration, budgeting, reporting, and compliance with Chapter and National policies.
· Serve as the primary liaison with members, the Appraisal Institute National Office, and external stakeholders.
· Coordinate educational programs, seminars, webinars, and professional development opportunities.
· Plan and manage Chapter meetings, conferences, networking events, and special programs.
· Develop and distribute member communications, marketing materials, newsletters, website content, and social media updates.
· Maintain compliance with Chapter Bylaws, National requirements, and applicable state regulations.
· Support membership recruitment, retention, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
· Evaluate and implement operational and technology improvements that enhance member services and Chapter effectiveness.
· Occasional travel for region meetings, chapter meeting and chapter events.
Qualifications:
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of clerical/administrative experience, or
2. An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and three years of clerical/administrative experience, or
3. A four‐year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a state’s department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and four years of full‐time clerical/administrative experience.
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe. Ability to update website using Squarespace a plus.
Proficiency in business writing.
Working knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.
Experience with customer service.

JPMorganChase is seeking a seasoned real estate review appraiser with experience in both multifamily and commercial property appraisal (emphasis in multifamily, 5–500 units.)
The two open positions entail conducting reviews of appraisal reports to check for credibility and compliance with internal policies, USPAP, and FIRREA, using risk-based judgments, and collaborating with stakeholders.
Requirements: 4-year degree, State Certified General license, 10+ years appraising/reviewing, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred: MAI designation, DCF expertise, and financial-institution experience.
